-Jillian Callaway
5 Star Athletics founder Jillian Callaway is proud to announce her new position as the Pitching Coach at University of Maryland. She is elated to be working with Coach Watten and the Terrapin program again. Callaway will still be actively involved with 5 Star Athletics, LLC, but is excited to announce that Lauren Robison will be taking a major role in the instruction. Callaway has also been nominated in the ASA Hall of Fame, November 2012.
Callaway graduated from the University of Maryland in 2003 with a B.S. in Communications. During her collegiate career as a Terrapin, Callaway played nearly every position on the field and amassed a 0.988 fielding percentage while batting 0.300 at the plate. She was honored with the M Club President’s Cup Award for Academic Achievement and ACC Top Six for Service Award, and was also selected to the Verizon All-Academic 2nd team.
-Lauren Robison
Lauren has been a part of the 5 Star Athletics family since she was 12 and we are happy to . have her join us on a year round basis. Robison will be taking over the majority of . instruction. Her energy, passion, and knowledge for the game make her a perfect fit for her . new role. She graduated from James Madison University in 2011 with a Kinesiology degree, . where she played 3rd base and was a 4-time JMU Athletic Director Scholar-Athlete.
-Kerry Hickey
Former University of Maryland stand out adds extra depth to 5 Star Athletics LLC pitching . and hitting clinics. Kerry’s pitching knowledge is near unmatched and will be a true asset to . have on staff. Hickey is well known for her rise ball, but is an all around player. During her . senior campaign she was the ACC Pitcher of the Year, as well as All-ACC and NFCA All . Mid-Atlantic Region First Team. Hickey graduated from Maryland in 2011 with a degree in
Criminal Justice.
-Haley Stueckler
Stueckler started her collegiate career at Tallahassee Community College, and then spent
the next three seasons at Towson University. She split time between pitching and playing
second base during collegiate career. She boasts a career fielding percentage of .933. She
graduated with a degree in Psychology, and was an intern at Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary.
-Lynn Pronobis
Still pursuing her degree in Chemistry at UMBC, Pronobis completed her eligibility following . the 2011 season. She split time between left and center field during her 4 years there, and
was ranked 19th in the nation for stolen bases her senior season. She was named to the
America East Academic Honor Roll during her 2010 season. Pronobis will specialize in team
and group instruction.

In her first year after graduation, she worked as a softball instructor at Planet Fastpitch in Uxbridge, Massachusetts, New England’s largest exclusive Fastpitch softball facility. Callaway moved back to her roots to take the assistant coaching position at her alma mater in the Fall of 2004. She helped the Terrapins to another winning season while promoting character and poise, which won them the ACC Sportsmanship Award for the 2005 Season. Callaway continued on as the pitching coaching in the Fall of 2005 under new Terrapin Coach Laura Watten. Callaway ran 5 Star Athletics full-time 2004 to 2012.
With her new position, Callaway looks forward to continuing to educate youth through her clinics, camps, and group lessons, while helping lead the Terps to a future ACC Championship. "Its great to have the opportunity to work with the University of Maryland again and still be involved with 5 Star Athletics. I am so happy to enjoy another opportunity the sport of softball has provided for me."
5 Star Athletics staffs an elite level of instructors, all boasting college playing and/or coaching careers. All instructors have been personally trained by Callaway.
